Oh Baby! Shopping

I have to say that while there are many stores in and around Darien/Norwalk/New Canaan/Westport that carry either Infant or Children’s clothing, my son is currently that in-between size of 24 months/2T that is neither infant nor child and I’ve had a lot of trouble finding clothes to fit him and knowing where to look.  Until I drove down Greenwich Avenue today.

I needed to find him a Christening outfit, and because of his age a white bubble onesie was not going to work.  I needed something between a suit and casual pants.  And I knew my usual go-to’s like Darien Sport Shop, Rugged Bear, LittleJohn’s, The Whitney Shop, and Janie & Jack either weren’t going to have the kind of selection I needed in the right size or just plain weren’t going to have formal clothes.

Luckily my BFF from high school (Greenwich Academy) suggested Best & Co; so I trekked out to Greenwich feeling like, if they didn’t have something for him, I was sunk.  Driving down The Avenue, I passed about 5 or 6 clothing boutiques for children that I could tell carried the type of clothing I would need.  I’ve made a mental note to go back and check them out, but because I had my cranky 15 month old with me and it was freezing cold, I just focused on hitting Best & Co today.
